Chattanooga Fire Department says house fire under investigation
CHATTANOOGA, Tenn. (WDEF) — An unoccupied home caught fire Sunday night, according to Chattanooga Firefighters. The house was fully engulfed in flames when fire personnel arrived.
The Chattanooga Fire Department arrived at the house a little after 9:30 p.m. The house was located on the 2700 block of Roanoke Avenue.
The CFD had received multiple reports that smoke and flames were visible on the home. Firefighters said the smoke and flames were coming through the roof.
Chattanooga Firefighters were able to stop the fire in five minutes. They said they also protected a nearby home from the blaze.
The CFD said no one was injured in the fire.
The house was undergoing construction, according to the fire department.
They are currently investigating what caused the fire.
