Chattanooga firefighters save 3 cats from burning duplex
HAMILTON COUNTY, Tenn. (WDEF) — Chattanooga firefighters saved three cats out of a burning house on Monday, according to the fire department.
The CFD responded to the house fire just before 3 p.m. on February 5.
A duplex on the 200 block of S. Howell Avenue had caught fire. The residents escaped, but three cats were still inside.
The fire department said they had flames under control within 20 minutes of arrival. They also saved the family’s pets.
However, the house was severely damaged, and the four people were displaced from their home.
The American Red Cross is providing assistance to those residents.
Additionally, CFD is still investigating to determine what caused the fire.
