Chattanooga Golfer Brooke Pancake Betrays Last Name With Waffle House Sponsorship

Chattanooga pro golfer Brooke Pancake is in Lancaster, Pennsylvania, preparing for the women’s U.S. Open.

And she stopped by one of her favorite hangouts, Waffle House.
The popular restaurant actually sponsors Pancake on tour.
She explains how someone named Pancake is a spokesperson for waffles.

"I was on the Golf Channel for Morning Drive on National Pancake Day a couple of years ago. They asked me what I preferred for breakfast, and I told them I actually prefer waffles. So it turned into this whole social media attack being like Pancake betrays her own name. Then I got a contact with Waffle House, and I kind of pitched the idea. The next thing I knew I’m out here at Waffle Houses across the country. My whole life, I’ve been kind of part of the joke since my last name is Pancake, so this makes it even more fun."
Waffle House even has their logo on Pancake’s golf bag.
Pancake will tee off in the first round of the U.S. Open on Thursday morning at 7:18 at the Lancaster Country Club.
