Chattanooga hosts 2024 New Year’s Eve celebration downtown
CHATTANOOGA, Tenn. (WDEF) — The city of Chattanooga held a New Year’s Eve celebration to countdown 2024 Sunday night.
Chattanooga Parks & Outdoors partnered with multiple organizations in the community to make the event possible.
The stage for the NYE celebration was set up in front of the Tennessee Aquarium.
Updates were posted on social media as the stage was assembled downtown.
The event was created to bring the community together during the new year.
Special guests included Fire Cabaret, The MaleMan Show Band, and Soul Aerobics.
Festivities started at 8 p.m. and are continuing until the ball drops at midnight in Times Square.
Public Relations and Marketing Director with Chattanooga Parks & Outdoors, Brian Smith said, “This is a community event and we’ve asked folks to come on down and enjoy. This is Chattanooga at its finest. Anyone can come and enjoy some great music, a great atmosphere, great vendors, and it’s just a way to really celebrate the city itself.”
The event is free and open to the public.
Children 16 years and under must be accompanied by an adult.
