Chattanooga Humane Educational Society Hold “Paws In The Park”
Dozens of pet owners gathered at the Baylor School for an outing with man’s best friend and other four legged companions. The event was the 13th annual Paws in the Park event to benefit the Chattanooga Area Humane Educational Society.
It featured plenty of fun for every one including dog trick demonstrations, various pet items for purchase, and even a pet costume contest. There were also plenty of animals up for adoption, looking for their forever homes.
"What you get out of a rescue animal. They just act so appreciativ,e like they know that you’ve saved them and people just benefit, that bond is just so substantial when they take them home and work with them, it is just a beautiful for both the animal and the adoptive parent," said Bob Citrullo, Executive Director of the Humane Education Society.
The Paws in the Park event is the Humane Societies largest fund raiser of the year. The group hopes to raise 20 thousand dollars.
