CHATTANOOGA, Tenn. (WDEF) — The Chattanooga Public Library and EPB announced that there’s new library parking in the EPB parking garage.

Monday through Saturday, patrons may park in the parking garage for 2 hours upon obtaining a parking pass.

There are only 40 available passes, and they’re on a first come, first serve basis.

“We are very proud of the resources and services at the Downtown Library, but for some of our patrons, the cost for parking can become a financial burden.  That is why we are so grateful for EPB’s partnership with us.  By offering complimentary parking, we’re ensuring that even more people can take advantage of the tools, books, classes and other resources that we offer for no cost.”  said Library Executive Director, Will O’Hearn.

If you wish to park in the parking garage, look for a green or red sign at the entrance of the library to see if parking passes are still available.

If parking is still available, you may head on into the parking garage and pick any open, undesignated spot.

After parking, please bring your license plate number to the first floor of the library to the circulation desk to validate your parking.

“The Chattanooga Public Library offers a wealth of resources at no charge to our community. We’re happy to help expand access to the downtown branch’s services, programs and more by sharing space in our garage,” stated Vice President of Strategic Communications at EPB, J.Ed. Marston.
