Chattanooga man accused of making a bomb
It happened Saturday morning at a residence in the 2700 block of North Orchard Knob Avenue.
Police were called to the residence to investigate a domestic call involving a cocktail bomb.
When they arrived, the female victim told officers she got into an argument with her boyfriend who has been identified as Prandell Haynes, 25, of Chattanooga.
According to the victim, Haynes claimed to come over to gather his belongings but was really there to argue with her.
At some point during the argument, Haynes reportedly grabbed clothing, went outside and made a cocktail bomb with a half filled Vodka bottle. The victim told police, Haynes came inside and attempted to light the the cocktail bomb in the kitchen.
Haynes was immediately arrested and charged with aggravated arson, aggravated assault and possession of explosive components.
His bond was set at $111,000.
