Chattanooga man arrested, detectives find $28,000 worth of drugs
CHATTANOOGA, Tenn. (WDEF) — A Chattanooga man is in custody after Hamilton County detectives found $28,000 worth of narcotics in his home.
The sheriff’s office arrested 29-year-old Brandon Eberhardt on Wednesday, November 15.
The HCSO Narcotics and Special Investigations Unit and SWAT assisted in serving a search warrant at 1704 Bradt Street.
Once authorities arrived, they said Eberhardt tried flushing the drugs down the toilet. However, deputies took him into custody before he could finish.
Detectives searched the home to find 240 grams of fentanyl.
They said they also found two guns, more than $2,000 in cash and drug paraphernalia. The sheriff’s office seized the cash and a Honda motorcycle “in accordance with state law,” they said in a press release.
Eberhardt faces the following charges:
- Possession of fentanyl for resale
- Unlawful possession of a weapon – two counts
- Possession of drug paraphernalia
- Tampering with or fabricating evidence
The HCSO said more charges may come after they continue their investigation.
