Chattanooga man arrested in Dunlap for stealing vehicle, meth possession
DUNLAP, Tenn. (WDEF) — A Chattanooga man is in custody in Dunlap, Tennessee for stealing a vehicle and possession of meth.
The Dunlap Police Department said they arrested Dameion E. Ervin at a house in Dunlap, where they also found the stolen vehicle.
But Ervin told officers he had borrowed the car the night before.
Officers found Ervin’s wallet and ID inside the car. They also found a modified snorting straw and a glass jar containing meth.
Dunlap police said they arrested Ervin for possession of meth and drug paraphernalia.
However, McMinnville police will file charges against Ervin for vehicle theft.
The Dunlap Police Department first learned that Ervin may be in their jurisdiction on Tuesday.
