Chattanooga man charged with attempted first-degree murder

CHATTANOOGA, Tenn. (WDEF) — Chattanooga Police said they arrested a man for an attempted murder shooting at a residence near Downtown Chattanooga.

Officers arrested 21-year-old Torez Bowling on July 10.

Bowling faces charges of attempted first-degree murder and possession of a firearm during the commission of a dangerous felony.

The police department said they responded to the shooting on June 22 around 1 p.m.

They arrived to the 800 block of West 13th Street Court, where they found a man suffering from a life-threatening injury.

First responders took the man to a local hospital for treatment.

Chattanooga Police did not give the current status of the victim.
