Chattanooga man who shot ex-girlfriend sentenced to prison
CHATTANOOGA, Tenn. (WDEF) — A man who shot and killed his ex-girlfriend has been sentenced in court.
Terrick Thorne, 24, appeared in court on October 2, 2023.
A judge has sentenced Thorne to 35 years in prison, online court records showed. He pled guilty to second-degree murder, a lesser charge than the original.
In addition, Thorne’s misdemeanor firearm charge was dismissed.
Authorities arrested Thorne, who was 21 at the time, in May 2021 as a suspect in a fatal shooting. It happened on 6th Avenue in East Lake.
The victim was a 20-year-old woman named Kielonnie Stocks.
Court records reveal that Thorne has a history of drug possession, with three prior charges.
Thorne also previously pled guilty to domestic assault in the past.
