Chattanooga Market welcomes Street Food Festival

Chattanooga Market

CHATTANOOGA, Tenn. (WDEF)- The Chattanooga Street Food Festival took over the beloved Chattanooga Market this Sunday.

The best of the best food trucks from all over the area showed up and showed out- attending to the thousands of hungry customers!
There were all sorts of different food items from donuts to  tacos, stir-fry to  pizza, empanadas to kabobs and of course for the sweet tooth- shaved ice and popsicles.
They even offered healthy options like salads, juices, and rice bowls.
The Food Festival welcomed families, friends and neighbors the chance to indulge in a mixture of cultural foods sure to itch that scratch for a good meal.
One food truck owner said by 2 p.m., they sold at least 300 burgers.
“This day is one of the bigger food truck events that we have. Food trucking in general- we do this full time, but we only operate three to four days a week. So- you’ll find us at Nightfall, River Front nights,  as well as the Chattanooga market is where you can find us every week and along with the other food trucks,” said Larry Fulton, owner of Jonny Poppers Burger Buggy.
Next Sunday, June 4th, the Market will host an ice cream social.
On June 18th there will be a Father’s Day special called “Blues and Brews.”
On June 25th there will be a flower festival.
The Chattanooga Market has many more exciting events planned for the summer.
