(gomocs.com) The Chattanooga Mocs men’s basketball program and head coach Dan Earl have announced a pair of scholastic signings to next year’s 2026-27 roster as part of November’s early signing period last week.
Chattanooga received inked commitments from 7′ big man John Fleeman (Kingsville, Mo. / Kingsville HS) and guard Jonathan Moss (Owensboro, Ky. / Daviess County HS), two highly coveted prospects among the scholastic ranks.
John Fleeman – 7’0 – Center – Kingsville, Mo. (Kingsville HS)
As a junior in 2025, John Fleeman helped Kingsville claim the Missouri Class 1 District 7 championship behind a 23-6 record while earning All-State status for the first time in his high school career. The seven-footer averaged 18.4 points, 10.6 rebounds, 4.2 assists and 2.4 blocks per game and shot an efficient 66.5% from the field and 69% from the line.
Fleeman last competed on the Adidas AAU circuit for the ETG Midwest program located in Omaha, Nebraska. Fleeman was ranked as the No. 1 small-school prospect in Missouri for the class of 2026 and features a versatile skillset that fits comfortably in Earl’s system.
Dan Earl on Fleeman: “We’re really excited to have John Fleeman join our program. For a big man, John has an impressive skill set — he can score around the rim, step out and hit shots, and he’s an excellent passer for his size. John’s combination of size, skill, and work ethic fits exactly what we want in our post players. Our fans are going to appreciate the way he competes and the energy he brings to every possession.”
Jonathan Moss – 6’1 – Guard – Owensboro, Ky. (Daviess County HS)
During the 2025 season, Jonathan Moss, a product of Daviess County High School, helped lead his team to its third region championship and appearance in the Kentucky state tournament. Moss finished his junior campaign averaging 19.5 points and 3.5 rebounds per game and will enter his senior season in 2025-26 on the verge of the school’s all-time points and assists records.
Moss last competed for the Kentucky Basketball Club on the Puma/NXTPro AAU circuit. According to 247 Sports class of 2026 rankings, Moss is rated as the No. 2 point guard and No. 3 overall prospect in the state of Kentucky while claiming the No. 44 slot for all point guard prospects around the country.
Dan Earl on Moss: “Jonathan Moss is a dynamic guard who can score the basketball and create for others. He has great instincts with the ball in his hands and can impact the game in a lot of different ways. Jonathan plays with confidence and a competitive edge that’s contagious. He’s the kind of exciting, playmaking guard our fans are really going to enjoy watching.”
