Chattanooga Mocs Picked to Win SoCon Championship

SoCon coaches and media picked the Mocs to win the league title this fall. They were picked to win it last year before going 5-3 in conference play.

Those three league losses came by a total of ten points. Mocs return plenty of talent.

Eight players earned pre

season conference honors, including running back Alym Ford and defensive lineman Devonnsha Maxwell. He was named the league’s pre-season defensive player of the year. Head coach Rusty Wright is digging the preseason vibe.

Said Wright:”I think it’s great for the fans, but I know it’s good for our young men. We’ve had a good off-season. A good January thru June. I know they are going to be pumped and looking forward to getting to start fall camp. It’s a group that I feel is worthy of it. I think we are going to have a lot of fun this year.”
