Chattanooga Police: Bicyclist receives serious injuries when hit by car
CHATTANOOGA, Tenn. (WDEF) — A bicyclist was hit by a car in Downtown Chattanooga on Thursday, according to Chattanooga Police.
The police department said that around 10:30 p.m. on October 5, a woman was riding a bicycle north on Market Street. At that time, officers say a vehicle hit the bicyclist.
Authorities did not give any information on the suspect vehicle. They said the vehicle fled the scene before police arrived.
Hamilton County EMS took the woman to a hospital for treatment.
Officers said her injuries were serious but not life-threatening.
