Chattanooga Police investigate downtown shooting

CHATTANOOGA, Tenn. (WDEF) – Chattanooga Police have released more information on the shooting near the Walnut Street Bridge Monday night.

Police identified the victim as 30-year-old Kenton Thomas.

According to police, witnesses told police that a male approached Thomas, started a verbal disorder, shot him, and then fled the area.

The Violent Crimes Bureau is investigating.

CHATTANOOGA, Tenn. (WDEF) – Chattanooga Police investigate a shooting that happened in downtown Chattanooga underneath the Walnut Street Bridge.

Police say a man in his 30’s suffered non life threatening gunshot injuries when police arrived after 6:30 p.m.

An Officer says the man was incoherent, and could not give them much information on what happened.
