Chattanooga Police arrest suspect for Woodside Street stabbing

CHATTANOOGA, Tenn. (WDEF) – Chattanooga Police have arrested a teenager for the stabbing on Woodside Street last week.

The 16 year old girl is charged with stabbing 19-year-old Heidi Swafford in the shoulder and neck.

It happened around 4:30 p.m. in the afternoon on July 26th at 3306 Woodside St.

Police say the two females got into an altercation which resulted in Swafford getting stabbed.

The 16-year-old faces charges of Attempted Second Degree Murder and Aggravated Assault.
