Chattanooga Police Make Arrest in Fatal Shooting Tuesday Night

Chattanooga (WDEF) Chattanooga police have arrested a suspect in Tuesday night’s deadly shooting on North Willow Street.

They have charged 20-year old Christopher Walton with First Degree Murder.

Two men were waling on Willow when a car pulled up and opened fire on them.

One escaped on foot after jumping a fence.

But 20-year old Frederick Clark was shot multiple times and died at the scene.

Police now report there was also another victim.

Vernandus Adair was hit in the leg by a stray bullet while sitting inside his home.

The injury was minor and he was treated at the scene.

Several witnesses to the shooting identified the vehicle to investigators.

Then an anonymous tip to 911 reported the same vehicle driving recklessly, heading toward Brainerd.

Police identified Walton as the driver of the vehicle and arrested him.

He was arrested in June on drug trafficking charges.

Bond was set for Walton at $1.5 Million dollars this time.
