Chattanooga Police recover 10,000 fentanyl pills during search warrant

CHATTANOOGA, Tenn. (WDEF) —  Chattanooga Police (CPD) uncovered a significant amount of drug paraphernalia and firearms after conducting a search warrant.

On October 2, 2024, the CPD Gun Team, SWAT, Narcotics Unit, K-9, Drone Team, and Neighborhood Policing, searched the 500 block of North Hawthorne Street.

This search warrant was in relation to multiple shooting investigations back in April.

During the search warrant, police recovered the following:

  • 8 Firearms (3 of them stolen, 3 outfitted with machine gun conversion devices that allow a semi-automatic pistol to be fully automatic)
  • Approximately 10,000 fentanyl pills
  • Approximately 2 pounds of marijuana
  • $3400 United States Currency

The search warrant led to the arrest of the following individuals, along with their charges:

  • Denzel Roberson (20) – possession of a firearm during the commission of a dangerous felony / possession of fentanyl (resale)
  • Jermaine Crayton (19) – possession of a firearm during the commission of a dangerous felony / possession of fentanyl (resale)
  • Jermiah Crayton (19) – possession of a   firearm during the commission of a dangerous felony / possession of fentanyl (resale)
  • Ri’Key Hudson (18) – possession of a   firearm during the commission of a dangerous felony / possession of fentanyl (resale)
  • Keyaun Mitchell (20) – possession of a   firearm during the commission of a dangerous felony / possession of fentanyl (resale)
  • Kayla Bridges (19) – possession of marijuana
  • JUVENILE – possession of a firearm during the commission of a dangerous felony / possession of fentanyl (resale)

The juvenile was taken to the Hamilton County Juvenile Detention Center.

The other individuals were transported to the Hamilton County Jail and Detention Center.
