Chattanooga Police respond to shooting on Glass Street

 

CHATTANOOGA, Tenn. (WDEF) —  Over the weekend, officers with the Chattanooga Police Department (CPD) responded to a shooting on Glass Street.

At 1:02 a.m., December 1, 2024, officers responded to a person shot call in the 2300 block of Glass Street.

Upon arrival, officers discovered a 22-year-old male with non-life-threatening injuries.

CPD said Hamilton County EMS responded to the scene and transported him to a local hospital.

A preliminary investigation by CPD’s Homicide Unit reveals the 22-year-old victim was involved in a physical altercation inside a business prior to the shooting.

When the altercation ended, a shot was fired, striking the victim.

CPD is still investigating this incident.
