Chattanooga Red Wolves Score League Record Seven Goals in Beating Charlotte
Chattanooga-(WDEF-TV) The Chattanooga Red Wolves set a USL League One record on Wednesday by scoring
seven goals in beating Charlotte Independence 7-1 at CHI Memorial Stadium. Chattanooga actually fell behind 1-0 before the goal scoring party started. Rey Ortiz drilled a shot high into the corner of the net that banked in to tie the match. Then Juan Galindrez had a sliding goal kick to make it 2-1. Galindrez added one more goal before the half on a penalty kick to make it 3-1 at the half. Rafael Mentzingen had a beautiful long kick over the keeper to make it 4-1 early in the second half. Then it was Galindrez getting the hat trick on another sliding goal kick. Chattanooga scored twice more for the record 7-1 victory.
