Chattanooga road closure through Friday

HAMILTON COUNTY, Tenn. (WDEF) — The Chattanooga Department of Transportation announced a road closure that will be in effect until Friday.

The northbound lanes of North Holtzclaw Avenue, between Wilcox Boulevard and Citico Avenue, are temporarily closed off.

This is due to repairs from Tennessee American Water, who are making final repairs and preparing for paving.

The CDOT said they are detouring traffic via Citico Avenue, North Orchard Knob Avenue and Roanoke Avenue.

Officials ask that travelers allow for additional time while going through this area.

They will make an announcement when the road fully reopens.

Additionally, the road closure does not affect southbound traffic.
