Chattanooga Snowstorm Brings Community Together for a Day of Fun and Festivities

It’s not every day that Chattanooga gets a good snowfall, so when the snow started to fall early this morning, people wasted no time in getting outside to enjoy it.

Whether it was snowball fights, sledding, or just soaking in the beauty of it all, the community came together to make the most of the snow day.

“It’s been lots of fun having snowball fights with the kids and everybody else,” said Jayden Pollard from the neighborhood.

For many, today’s snow day served as a reminder of the simple joys that winter brings. The lighthearted atmosphere had some adults reminiscing about the carefree fun of snow days from their own childhoods.

“I feel amazing! It’s so much fun; it reminds me of my childhood. I remember when I was little and we would get snow days, but this is like a really good day of steady snow for us,” said Rose Kehinde.

Whether you’re hitting the slopes or sipping hot cocoa by the fire, it’s safe to say  the first snowfall of 2025 books.
