Chattanooga soccer winless in Saturday doubleheader

CHATTANOOGA, Tenn. (WDEF) — Both the Chattanooga FC and Chattanooga Red Wolves were unable to come away with three points from Saturday’s home double header.

CFC finished a scoreless game against Michigan Stars to stay in the top four of the NISA standings. This is CFC’s second straight draw.

The Red Wolves scored in the 91′ to get close to FC Tucson but were unable to complete a two goal comeback. The loss breaks the Red Wolves two-game win streak. Chattanooga was just one point behind the leaders in the standings; however, losing to the last place team in the league isn’t helping the Wolves playoff efforts.

Chattanooga FC will be back at home for Fourth of July weekend Saturday, July 2, as they host AC Syracuse at 7:30 p.m.

The Chattanooga Red Wolves hit the road for a game in North Colorado Thursday. The Wolf Pack’s next home match is Saturday, July 16 against North Carolina FC.
