Chattanooga State Looks to Grow the Welding Field
CHATTANOOGA, TN (WDEF) – Chattanooga State is looking to attract students who are interested in welding and other related areas.
To help with that, the National Science Foundation awarded the college almost $198,000.
The money will be used to prepare teachers and students with the knowledge and skills they need.
A workshop will be held next summer, and one-on-one mentoring sessions will be available for secondary and post-secondary welding instructors.
