Chattanooga State on lockdown

UPDATE:

“At 1:08 pm, Chattanooga State Main Campus has lifted their lockdown. Campus is safe. College classes are closed for the rest of the day.”

UPDATE:

At a press conference, police say the situation at Chattanooga State is still ongoing.

But school officials say they have not heard any shots and no one has been hurt as far as they know.

The campus remains closed.

CHATTANOOGA (WDEF) – Chattanooga State has issued a TigerAlert to students to find shelter and lock the doors.

The campus is on lock-down until further notice.

There is no official explanation of what is going on at this point.

But there is a heavy police presence on campus.
