Chattanooga Strikes a Musical Chord
CHATTANOOGA, Tenn. (WDEF) – From parks to sidewalks and even the airport, Chattanooga turned up the volume this weekend.
Make Music Day is back this weekend, bringing a full day of free performances to unexpected places all across the city.
More than 30 performances took place throughout the day, from morning singalongs and patriotic marches to acoustic pop ups and evening concerts along the riverfront.
Families enjoyed storytime and music at ArtsBuild, music students took part in a hands-on sound check workshop at Songbirds, and the day wrapped up with Riverfront Nights under the stars.
Even public spaces like the Chattanooga Airport and the CARTA shuttle park featured live music.
It was all part of a worldwide celebration of creativity and connection, and Chattanooga remained one of the most active cities in the country taking part.
From street corners to center stage, Make Music Day hit all the right notes.
