Chattanooga teen arrested for selling fentanyl in Sequatchie County

CHATTANOOGA, Tenn. (WDEF) — The Sequatchie County Sheriff’s Office arrested a Chattanooga teen for selling fentanyl.

Their narcotics unit arrested the 17-year-old on Thursday, July 6.

Law enforcement had conducted an undercover operation, in which the teen agreed to deliver fentanyl.

Authorities said the teen delivered 1,000 suspected fentanyl pills to an agreed location.

They then arrested the teen and charged him with possession of schedule two substance for resale.

The sheriff’s office said he will also have a court date in late July.

Sheriff Bill Phillips advised he is glad to see the dangerous drugs removed from the streets and is thankful for the continued work done by the agencies Narcotics Unit along with the assistance of the 12th Judicial District Drug Task Force and the Dunlap Police Department,” Sequatchie County Sheriff’s Office said.
