Chattanoogan included in Presidential Clemencies
Brandon Jermaine Hugley was serving 19 years for cocaine distribution
CHATTANOOGA (WDEF) – President Biden today announced clemency for 78 Americans, including one Chattanoogan.
Brandon Jermaine Hugley was convicted of distributing cocaine in 20-12.
He was given a 19 year sentence.
But after serving half of that, the President is commuting his sentence.
Now the sentence will end one year from today.
Huguley is 40 years old.
Two other Tennesseans are on the list, including Bethel Cheyenne Mooneyham from Spencer who is serving 20 years for meth distribution.
He has also served about half of his time.
Many of the clemencies granted are reducing sentences for drug crimes.
President Trump granted clemency to another Chattanoogan as he was leaving office in 2021. Here is Darrell Frazier’s story.
