Chattanoogan wins $50,000, Powerball jackpot jumps to $900 million

CHATTANOOGA, Tenn. (WDEF) — A local person won $50,000 from the Tennessee Powerball recently.

The Tennessee Education Lottery Corporation said that winning ticket came from Weigel’s at 2230 Polymer Drive in Chattanooga. That is one of six players who matched four of five white balls, plus the red Powerball on Sunday night.

In addition, one person in Pigeon Forge won $100,000.

Still, no one was won the Powerball jackpot, and the prize continues to grow.

For Monday’s drawing, the jackpot is at $900 million.

The Tennessee Lottery wants to remind players to play responsibly, and that it only takes one ticket to win.
