Chattanoogans Burn Calories for a Cause at YMCA’s “Superburn” Event
CHATTANOOGA, Tenn. (WDEF) — While many were preparing for the Super Bowl, some Chattanoogans spent their Saturday morning breaking a sweat for a good cause.
The Downtown Family YMCA held its second annual “Superburn” event, a 90-minute, team-style workout in the newly renovated PIT Studio. Participants worked together in high-energy routines designed to challenge both body and mind—all while supporting the YMCA’s programs.
Kelly Wehman, group fitness instructor, said the event was about more than just fitness. “It’s been a lot of fun and a lot of team spirit, and just offering a really good cause. There’s been a lot of great energy, and they all know that their donations are going to a great cause,” she said.
With participants sweating it out before the big game, the event gave them a chance to score a win for their health—and their community—long before the Super Bowl kickoff.
