Chattanoogans gather for 2nd annual “Music and Movies in Miller”
CHATTANOOGA, Tenn. (WDEF)- Saturday night kicked off the 2nd annual Music and Movies event in Miller Park.
Food trucks, artist vendors, games and activities for all ages began at 6 p.m..
There was live music by FlashDrive on the stage at 7:15 p.m. with a theme of 80s and 90s.
The showing of the movie, “The Karate Kid,” begun at sunset, where Chattanoogans were welcomed to bring their own chairs and blankets to sit on the field and enjoy the film.
“This is a great way to kick off the summer season. School is done, and so we’re welcoming thousands of people down to downtown Chattanooga. But also we have a lot of visitors in town this weekend, so it’s a fun way for people of all ages to come out and celebrate together,” said Dawn Hjelseth, River City Company’s Vice President of Marketing and Communications.
The next Music and Movie Night will be held on July 29th at Miller Park.
The original Jumanji movie will be showing that night.
