14th Running of the Chihuahuas

CHATTANOOGA, Tenn. (WDEF)- This year marked Chattanooga’s 14th annual running of the Chihuahuas.

At the First Horizon Pavilion, Chihuahuas and their owners of all kinds showed up and showed out- many in their best dressed.

This year’s winning Chihuahua took home a trophy, tickets to Dollywood, Ed Sheeran and Bonnaroo, and of course, bragging rights.

One owner is still bragging on her furry friend, “Lil Bit,” since he does carry the title of “two time reigning champ.”
“She’s a two-time reigning champion. She’s done this about three times already, so we’re going for the three-peat tonight. It’s just a great event to come out to it’s a lot of fun. There’s live music, vendors, and it’s just a lot of fun,” said Lil Bit’s mother, Rebecca Butler.
There were even more fun-filled contests for the little dogs such as best dressed, most team spirit and most territory marked.
Congratulations to Kiwi- this year’s Running of the Chihuahuas Champion!
