Chattanooga’s Tomorrow Building concept spreading to Memphis

Local companies turning historic Memphis building into new housing option

MEMPHIS, Tennessee (WDEF) – A concept born in Chattanooga is heading to Memphis.

It will be the third location for The Tomorrow Building.

That’s the concept created by Chestnut Funds in Chattanooga.

They say it’s a family housing option geared for the new workforce… people who are working remotely, short term or just looking for hassle-free living.

The Tomorrow Building comes with shared kitchens, lounge areas and are fully-furnished.

Now the companies are bringing the concept to the Edge District in Memphis.

They will convert the historic Cycle Shop in downtown into a Tomorrow Building.

The renovation of the building is already underway (restaurant & entertainment concept) and the housing portion should break ground early next year.

“We are excited to join forces with Aslan to complete the restoration of the historic Cycle Shop and embark on development of the third Tomorrow Building,” said Steen Watson, Chestnut Funds CEO. “This is a unique opportunity to work together to honor the neighborhood’s past with a clear focus on further catalyzing its future.”

The original Tomorrow Building is on Patten Parkway in Chattanooga, with a second location open now on the North Shore.
