Chickamauga man arrested for cock fighting, animal cruelty
CHICKAMAUGA, Ga. (WDEF) — A Chickamauga man has been arrested and charged with 27 counts of animal cruelty.
On March 1, 2025 a deputy with the Walker County Sheriff’s Office (WCSO) was investigating a vehicle blocking a driveway at a residence on Garretts Chapel Road.
According to Walker County Sheriff Steve Wilson, 26 dead roosters were discovered strewn across the yard of the residence.
Leg tags, gaffs, spurs, and medication for wound care were also discovered at the scene.
This discovery led the deputy to believe the roosters were killed while engaging in cock fighting.
One dog with a broken leg and four other dogs penned without food, water, or adequate shelter were also found at the residence.
Authorities arrested Daniel Keith Bradley.
Bradley is being charged with the following:
- Aggravated Cruelty to Animals (27 counts)
- Cruelty to Animals (4 counts)
The Walker County Animal Control assisted WCSO in this case.
