Chief Fletcher takes personal days to end tenure at CPD

CHATTANOOGA, Tenn. (WDEF) — Chattanooga Police Chief Fred Fletcher’s last official day is this Thursday, July 6th.

But Chief Fletcher has decided to take some personal leave now.

As is standard protocol when the police chief takes personal or sick time, police spokeswoman Elisa Myzal says Deputy Chief David Roddy is in charge of the police department until further notice.

Mayor Andy Berke will decide who gets the position, and then city council members will have to approve.
