Chihuahuas Stole the Show at Hits 96’s Running of the Chihuahuas XVI
CHATTANOOGA,TN (WDEF)-Chattanooga was full of excitement this past Saturday as Hits 96’s running of the Chihuahuas XVI took over First Horizon Pavilion. Over 100 pint-sized racers competed in the big race, with plenty of fun leading up to the finale — including food trucks, live music, local vendors, and a best-dressed costume contest.
“We are running 16 at the First Horizon Pavilion and this is an annual event that Hits 96 does every single year,” said Gino D, Director of Hits 96. “This year we’re doing it to benefit the Humane Educational Society. We have live local music all day long, vendors and food trucks, a lot of fun — and then the big finale is the race. We also do the Best Dressed contest and the Running of the Rescues to highlight adoption at the Humane Society.”
It was a day full of fun and furry excitement — all for a great cause.
