Child killed in Cleveland crash

CLEVELAND, Tennessee (WDEF) – A two and a half year old child died in a two vehicle crash Monday evening in Cleveland.

It happened just before 7 PM at the intersection of Keith Street and Mouse Creek Road.

A Nissan Murano hit a Toyota Corolla on the passenger size.

The child, Makayla Giraldo, was in the Toyota.

The 35 year old driver, Juan Giraldo, suffered severe injuries and was taken to a Chattanooga hospital.

Another woman in the car also suffered minor injuries.

The driver of the other vehicle was also taken to the hospital.

The crash is under investigation.
