Children’s Hospital at Erlanger announces upcoming renovations

CHATTANOOGA, Tenn. — Children’s Hospital at Erlanger has announced plans for a renovation of its emergency department, main lobby, and entryways.

They say this will welcome the more than 80,000 patients and families who pass through each year.

Construction will begin this summer and conclude by year’s end.

It will be paid for through organizational funding, private donations, and the upcoming 2026 Erlanger Believe Bash premier event.

“When families walk into Children’s, they are often facing one of the most difficult days of their lives. We want to make the first moment when they enter through the door to say, without a single word: you are safe, you are not alone, and you’re in the right place. Every dollar raised through events such as The Believe Bash goes toward moments like this — and we couldn’t be more proud of what this renovation would mean for Chattanooga’s children and families.”

Jim Coleman, CEO, Erlanger Health said.

The hospital will remain fully operational throughout construction.

They say renovation work is expected to begin in Summer 2026 and be completed by the end of the year.
