Christkindlmarkt in Coolidge Park
CHATTANOOGA, Tenn. (WDEF) – With the holiday festivities continuing, people across the area gathered in Coolidge Park for a winter wonderland experience.
Many gathered in Coolidge Park throughout the weekend to step into a world of gingerbread aroma and sounds of carols.
The grounds of the park were full of twinkling lights and festive fun and activities for all ages to enjoy.
Vendors of all sorts were able to participate in the weekend events selling their items of interest including homemade leather journals, personal artwork, and even homemade snacks and drinks.
With the festivities having a German twist on it, lanterns, candles, and other German and European inspired decorations were spread through the festive.
Christkindlmarkt is a celebration that originates back in Germany to the 14th century, the festival is traditionally held to offer food, drinks, and seasonal items.
As the weekend festivities came to an end, participants were able to delve into a traditional German experience.
