Christmas Festivities come to Collegedale

COLLEGEDALE, Tenn. — The City of Collegedale’s Parks & Recreation Department is inviting locals to this year’s Christmas in Collegedale on December 7.

From 3 p.m. to 7 p.m., the event will take place at The Commons, located at 4750 Swinyar Drive.

“We love seeing our community come alive with the joy of the Christmas season. Christmas in Collegedale brings together neighbors, families, and friends to celebrate the traditions that make this time of year so special.”

Christina Clark, Collegedale Parks & Recreation Supervisor said.

Activities at the event include:

  • Tree Lighting at 6:30pm featuring live carolers and a countdown led by City Mayor Morty Lloyd
  • Kids’ Activities all free – including crafts, games, face painting and more
  • Special Appearance by Santa Claus, Mrs. Claus, and the Chattanooga Elf
  • Food Trucks & Festive Concessions offering warm drinks and snacks
  • Quilt Showcase – enjoy the warmth of Chestnut Hall and view quilts by locals

Admission to the event is free.
