City of Collegedale appoints Curtis L. Bowe, III as City Judge

COLLEGEDALE — Judge Curtis L. Bowe, III has been appointed to serve as the City of Collegedale’s judge.
Bowe has more than 30 years of legal and judicial experience to the position.
He fills the seat vacated after the passing of Judge Kevin Wilson in January 2026.
“Together, we will ensure that every citizen is treated with fairness, respect, empathy, and consistency as we uphold the law and serve the people of Collegedale.”

They say Judge Bowe earned his Juris Doctor from Vanderbilt University School of Law in 1994 and he has a bachelor’s degree in sociology from Duke University.
Bowe began his legal career in Chattanooga as a litigation associate with Chambliss Bahner, representing clients in both state and federal courts. He later founded Bowe & Associates, PLLC, where he serves as a managing member.
He has also served as an adjunct professor in the Criminal Justice program at The University of Tennessee at Chattanooga.
They say Bowe also previously served as a magistrate judge for Hamilton County Juvenile Court.
