Clemson Reportedly Hiring UTC Coach Shawn Poppie

When you’re a mid-major basketball coach, and you enjoy a lot of success.
The power five schools will come calling.
That’s the case with UTC women’s coach Shawn Poppie.

According to On3 Sports,  Clemson will name Poppie their new women’s head basketball coach.

Poppie only spent two seasons at Chattanooga, but he won 20 games each season, and he took the Mocs to the Big Dance each season as well.

Poppie is also familiar with the ACC having served as an assistant for six years at Virginia Tech
