Cleveland Berry Street hit and run suspect arrested
UPDATE (4/2/2025): A suspect has been arrested in connection to the hit-and-run incident on Berry Street in Cleveland over the weekend.
Cleveland police say they located and apprehended the 17-year-old suspect on April 1, 2025.
He was arrested and taken to the Bradley County Juvenile Center.
The 17-year-old faces the following charges:
- Leaving the Scene of an Accident involving an Injury
- Felony Reckless Endangerment
CLEVELAND, Tenn. (WDEF) — The Cleveland Police Department (CLPD) are searching for a suspect involved in a hit and run over the weekend.
On Sunday, March 30, 2025, CLPD responded to 771 Berry Street NE on reports of a crash.
Bradley County 911 advised CLPD an unknown vehicle struck a child in the roadway.
After gathering witness statements, CLPD learned that the children were playing soccer in the front yard and road.
CLPD stated an 8-year-old child was ran over by the unknown vehicle.
The vehicle left the scene traveling south on Berry Street towards 6th Street NE.
