Cleveland City Schools searching for new director of schools
CLEVELAND, Tenn. (WDEF) — Cleveland City Schools is working to find their next director of schools with a survey.
In the next few days, the school system will be releasing a survey to find out what qualities families want from the next director.
On Monday, February 5, the Cleveland City Board of Education appointed Kelly Kiser as interim director of schools. Kiser is also the director of human resources for the school system, a role he has held since 2018.
Current director of schools, Dr. Russell Dyer will be leaving the role in March. At that point, Kiser will step in until a new schools director is chosen.
Dr. Dyer has been the director of Cleveland City Schools since July 2016.
