Cleveland Police and Bradley Co. Sheriff solve burglary, recover stolen vehicle

Cleveland, Tenn. (WDEF) — The Cleveland Police Department and the Bradley County Sheriff’s Office worked together to solve a burglary case and recover a stolen vehicle.

The Sheriff’s Office was called to Broomfield Road because of a suspicious vehicle.

According to the Sheriff’s Office, a male driver ran away on foot when deputies tried to make contact.

The Sheriff’s Office says the man ran into a residence during the chase and was taken into custody when he exited the residence.

The Bradley County Sheriff’s Office identified the man as 20 year old Jeffrey Mackenzie Swallows.

During their investigation, deputies discovered the vehicle Swallows ran away from was reported stolen to the Cleveland Police Department this morning.

Cleveland Police Detectives have recovered more items from the morning burglary as well.

Bradley County Sheriff’s Office has charged Swallows with evading, theft over $1000, and criminal trespassing.

The Cleveland Police Department has charged Swallows with aggravated burglary and theft over $2500.
