Cleveland Police officers save a man from a burning car
CLEVELAND, Tennessee (WDEF) – The Cleveland Police Department is praising two of their own officers after a rescue Thursday night.
Officers Matt Sharp and Geoffrey Humberd were waiting at a light at 20th and Keith Street around 11:20 PM.
That’s when they head a car accelerating and saw it was coming at them, fast.
But it swerved suddenly off the roadway and into the other lane.
The car hit a light pole & concrete base head on.
When the officers pulled up, the car was already on fire.
They got the driver out and called the fire and ambulance help.
Today, their bosses say the two cops saved the driver’s life.
