Cleveland State lands GIVE grant from state

NASHVILLE (WDEF) – Cleveland State is cashing in on the latest round of vocational grants from the state.

The third round of grants targets TCATS, community colleges and local industries in rural communities.

Cleveland State Community College is getting $450,000 for their ACT Now program.

It offers apprenticeships in careers and trades.

That just one of 23 projects funded by the round 3 grants.

“The state with the workers will win every time, and that’s why workforce development has been one of my top priorities since day one,” said Gov. Bill Lee.

“As a result, companies are choosing to invest and expand in our state, creating greater opportunity and quality of life for all Tennesseans.”
