Cleveland Transfer QB Cash Bandy Cleared to Play For Rival Bradley Central
Cleveland, TN-(WDEF-TV) An injury led to an unexpected transfer this week at Bradley Central.
Since the Bears lost starting quarterback Tyler Cook to a season ending knee injury in their opener, they welcomed quarterback Cash Bandy from rival Cleveland.
Bandy arrived at Bradley Central on Monday, and he’ll play for the Bears Friday against Tyner after being ruled eligible by the TSSAA.
Kids have transferred to rival schools before in the past. Just unusual that Bandy played for Cleveland last week, and now he’ll be zippin’ passes for Bradley Central this week.
Said Bradley Central head coach Damon Floyd:”This is kind of the way high school and colleges is going. As long as you go by the rules, and he did. Approved by TSSAA. He’ll be playing this week. We are going to do whatever gives our team the best chance to win, and we feel like he will give us that chance. He has been in the playbook quite a bit studying. We’re just trying to catch him up as quick as we can. Obviously our playbook will not be as wide open as it normally is.”
