Collegedale introduces Shell and Goose

New K9 Team ready for action

COLLEGEDALE, Tennessee (WDEF) – The Collegedale Police are introducing a new team member on National Police K9 Day.

Officer Goose is a two year old German Short Haired Pointer.

He will be partnered with Office Casey Shell.

Shell and Goose have been training together all summer.

Goose heads to Huntsville next week for narcotics detection and tracking certification.

“The K9 program is something that has been missing from our agency for a few years now” said Chief Jack Sapp.

“I am pleased to have the support of the city commission and city manager as we bring this program back to the community. I am very proud of the hard work that Officers Shell and Goose have put in and I’m looking forward to seeing the good work this new team is
going to do.”
